Engineering Tools — Group Connected CBUSH (00236)

What this tool does

Creates a group containing a user-selected CBUSH element plus every element connected to either of its two nodes. Quick way to build a "fastener neighborhood" iso view or audit set.

When you want it

  • Fastener-level audit. You're chasing a load-path question and want to see exactly which structural elements a single CBUSH ties together, without having to manually click through node adjacency.
  • Iso-view for documentation. Need a clean view of "the fastener and its neighborhood" for a report or peer-review.
  • Local result inspection. Want to extract or plot results just for the elements directly tied to a specific CBUSH.

How to use it

  1. Open from Custom Tools > Model Organization > Group Connected CBUSH.
  2. Pick the CBUSH element to seed from.
  3. Optionally choose a group name (default: CBUSH_<id>_Neighborhood).
  4. Click OK. The group is created containing the CBUSH plus all elements sharing at least one node with it.

What's in the resulting group

  • The seed CBUSH itself.
  • Every element (shell, solid, line) that uses node 1 of the CBUSH.
  • Every element that uses node 2 of the CBUSH.
  • The two CBUSH end nodes plus all nodes used by the connected elements.
